Add an Outdoor Living Space Perfect for Fall Entertaining

Whether you’re hosting family dinners, gathering around a fire, or simply enjoying the crisp fall air, an outdoor living space allows you to extend the use of your backyard into the cooler months.

The Power of Decluttering Before Home Improvements

By preparing your home through decluttering and organizing areas before diving into renovations, you can create a smoother process and lay the groundwork for a more efficient and stress-free transformation.

You love your house and have no plans of moving in the next few years but, you are running out of space. This is the perfect time to consider adding on to your home. Addition remodels can be done in a number of different ways and are an ideal solution to those who love their neighborhood and don’t want to give up the familiarity of their home that they have grown to love.

Before

1. Build Out

The most popular and arguably the easiest type of addition is to simply add onto the main level of the house. By adding onto the main floor you can create a larger kitchen or add on a completely different room like a home office space, play area for kids, or a garage. We also love the idea of creating a sunroom that can be used all year round that extends out to an existing patio or outdoor space.

2. Build Up

Whether you currently live in a rancher or only have a one-story garage, a second-floor addition could be a perfect fit for your family. Second and even third story additions are a great option if you do not want to sacrifice any part of your yard or if your home isn’t situated on a large lot.

3. Keep It Small

Maybe you just need a little more space. Incorporation a bump out into your design will make the room feel bigger without taking on a huge addition renovation. Add a bay window to your family room or create more space for the tub you’ve always wanted in your master bath by adding a bump out on the second floor.

4. Make A Statement

Combine building up and out with a full addition and remodel. This can be done so many ways. Make your garage larger to create storage or add a mudroom that can double as a laundry room. On top of your first floor, you could complete a  large master bedroom renovation or add a bonus room to the second floor!
