For those reasons, we follow a meticulous, intentional process to ensure that you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

Whether you’re planning to renovate your home in the near future or several years from now, it’s helpful to know in advance what you can expect while working with our company. Keep reading for a detailed explanation of our 5-step Design and Build process.

Step 1: Understanding Your Vision

During our first meeting, our main goal is to get to know you. Before we can build the home of your dreams, we must first build trust. We do this by showing past examples of our work, encouraging you to read reviews, and simply establishing a relationship. Then, we start to discuss your vision for your home. We ask questions to pinpoint what exactly you want to change and why you want it. From there, we can better determine how to provide solutions to meet your needs.

Step 2: Agreeing on a Budget Range

Before we start the design stage, we must agree on a budget range. Because of all the variables at this point, it is impossible to determine an exact cost. However, we’re able to create a realistic target price range based on our past experience and understanding of your preferences. If this price is higher than what you expected, we’re happy to help make necessary adjustments, like choosing different materials and finishes, to reduce the investment amount.

Step 3: Designing Your Dream Space

Once we’ve determined your desired results and agree on a ballpark price, we can create a preliminary design. Fees for our Design Services start at $500 and vary according to the scope of the project. Our designers are willing to work with you as much or as little as you would like to talk through all of the fine details and select materials. Using our project rendering platform, we’ll generate precise, 3-D renderings of each part of your project—leaving you fully aware of what the final results will look like.

Step 4: Design Review and Construction Contract

After the preliminary design is finalized, we present our renderings to you before moving forward. This gives us a chance to gather more input, gain clarity, and make any necessary adjustments. At this point, you can expect to have a better idea of where the final price will land. Once we have revised the design in accordance with your desired changes, we’ll meet again for a final review. Upon approval, we’ll ratify a fixed-price contract to begin the production phase of the project.

Step 5: Bringing Your Vision to Life

Now the fun begins! Once the contract is ratified and a 20-30% deposit is paid, we can begin the build process. After obtaining materials and any necessary permits, our team of expert craftsmen will bring your home dreams to reality. Throughout the construction process, you’ll have access to our communication software, Coconstruct, which allows clients to see exactly how the project is progressing. Once the project is complete, we will do a final closeout consultation with you to ensure that you’re satisfied with the results. Then, we’ll finalize any financial requirements and leave you to enjoy your new space!
