2022 Letter from the Owner

Somehow, we are nearing the close of another year. While February and March seem to linger longer and colder than we would like, once the weather starts to turn warmer, it seems that the calendar goes into overdrive. Before you know it, fall turns into the Thanksgiving/Christmas blur that we all cherish. There definitely is no rest for the weary, there always seems to be a deadline or priority that requires dedicated attention.
Recent history has had no normalcy, and I believe we are all still trying to determine what normal is now. 2021 was a hectic year for most people as the economy took off, and we rebooted after the Covid issues of 2020. 2022 started out full steam ahead but gradually showed signs of a slowing economy. Between concern over the Ukraine invasion, stock market performance, inflation, interest rate adjustments, and spending seem to have begun adjusting accordingly. While this is a necessary cycle, it’s one we have not seen since the ’80s. It is also not a comfortable thing for many people. Nevertheless, we are a resilient bunch and will press on and succeed. As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t—you’re right.”
January 31, 2023, will mark the 20th anniversary of G.P. Harris Construction!! It’s been a very enlightening experience. As many facets in life, the more I learn, the less I know. We continue to learn and improve in an effort to refine the remodeling experience that we share with our clients. I am blessed to have a fantastic group of employees that treat every client as family. Your home is treated with the same care and respect we would use in our own homes. Because we treat our clients this way, we develop relationships that lead to many repeat customers and projects that begin as client referrals. We look forward to meeting new clients and reconnecting with existing clients in 2023. Until then, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
