Recently, our team completed an aging-in-place home renovation in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Over the years, we’ve seen many homeowners wanting to stay in their houses as long as possible, but in this case—as in many—the home’s original structure was not built for first-floor living. To make the existing house more comfortable and conducive to their lifestyle, we added a master bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in shower to the main floor as well as a walk-in closet and laundry room. Featuring cool blues and grays, the new space is both beautiful and charming.

Another key piece of this renovation was creating intentional space for hobbies that had taken over much of the garage. The 21′ x 28′ addition also included a finished basement workshop with heating, electrical, a 9’ x 7’ garage door, and an additional exterior door. To finish out the project, we poured a concrete slab under the outside deck—creating a dedicated place for outdoor furniture, appliances, and storage.
